Parapat (or Prapat), is a tourist destination town on the shores of Lake Toba, precisely in the area Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra, is about 48 km from Pematangsiantar. Parapat be one important stopover point of the Trans Sumatra Highway that connects the western part of Medan to Padang.
